GUYOT RED 2020
Philosophy: To express the richness of a unique terroir in an elegant and complex wine.
Origin: Grapes from a single plot, aged more than 100 years, in schist soils and at an altitude of 450m.
Caste: Old vines in Guyot, Field Blend with a predominance of traditional Douro grape varieties.
Vinification: Manual harvesting in 20Kg boxes. Reception with total destemming. Fermentation conducted indigenous yeasts at controlled temperature, so as to obtain a slow fermentation with high extraction.
Internship: 500 liter French oak barrels for 12 months.
Bottling Date: March 2023.
Tasting Note: Translucent bright ruby colour, with the year of harvest not allowing too much colour to be extracted. Aroma of forest fruits, blackcurrant and black plum, wrapped in a vanilla-led set. Notes of freshness, reminiscent of mint and pine, which appear in the second instance after decanter sanding.
